About EBSCO Contact Us Site Map News Releases

EBSCOhost® customers who are registered users of British Library Document Supply Center can now link directly to ARTWeb, British Library’s online document order form. This is an enhancement to the recent addition of links to British Library’s ArticlesDirect document delivery service, which is designed for non-registered, occasional users. When activated in EBSCOadminTM, links to either service appear with the related citation in the user’s search result list.

Not only can libraries choose links to British Library’s document delivery services, but also links to other services such as Infotrieve, CISTI, and FIZ-AutoDoc. EBSCOadmin allows librarians to decide which linking services they want to offer their patrons, and the EBSCO Publishing technical support team is available to assist them in establishing the links to any of these services.

If they are selected, these links function similarly to other EBSCO CustomLinks. Libraries can choose to display them on every applicable search result or only when full text is unavailable. In this way a library can set up the system to look for full text in EBSCOhost databases, electronic journal collections and other local holdings before EBSCOhost indicates that an article can be purchased from a document delivery service.
