In its continued effort to provide the finest and most relevant full text databases for Canadian libraries, EBSCO Canada has combined the entire contents of three major literary reference series with numerous book reviews, essays, works of literary criticism, author biographies and current periodical articles to form the Canadian Literary Centre™.

The three reference series include The Annotated Bibliography of Canada's Major Authors, an eight volume set that provides easy access to primary and secondary author information, complete annotations on all secondary information, an index of critics listed and an extensive list of AV materials available for an author; the Canadian Fiction Series, 32 books each referring to a major Canadian author; and Canadian Writers and Their Works, a 24 volume set organized chronologically with individual essays on 120 authors covering both poets and fiction writers.

Other book reviews, essays, works of literary criticism and author biographies can be found from sources such as ECW's Biographical Guide to Canadian Novelists, ECW's Biographical Guide to Canadian Poets, George Woodcock's Introduction to Canadian Fiction, George Woodcock's Introduction to Canadian Poetry and the Canadian Biography Series.

Canadian Literary Centre also contains periodical content focusing on Canadian literature and includes Essays on Canadian Writing, Books in Canada, Quill & Quire and the University of Toronto Quarterly.

The Canadian Literary Centre™ is a further enhancement to the group of databases created by EBSCO specifically for Canadian libraries. The other databases include the Canadian Reference CentreTM, the largest collection of Canadian full text general reference material assembled from numerous sources; Canadian Newspaper SourceTM, with more than 100 Canadian newspapers and 4 major newswires; and others.
