About EBSCO Contact Us Site Map News Releases

EBSCO's e-journals service EBSCO Online® has been replaced with the new EBSCOhost® Offering access to more than 8,000 e-journals and over 3.6 million full text articles, EJS provides many new and enhanced features that make access and management of e-journals easier than ever. Designed to meet the ever-expanding needs of both librarians and researchers, EJS is now part of the EBSCOhost brand of products. Access to full text databases, secondary databases and individual e-journals is now provided under the EBSCOhost umbrella.

Like its predecessor, EBSCO Online, EJS provides best-in-class tools that address the increasing demands of electronic serials management, including user authentication, e-journal registration and subscription access. Administrators benefit from many time-saving features that include streamlined journal list management, automatic notification of changes in e-journal collections, better usage reporting, powerful linking capabilities, automatic setup of journals ordered through EBSCO, and much more.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) about EJS:

Do I need a new login for EJS?
No. Your existing EBSCO Online login procedure will continue to work on EJS, whether you authenticate via IP address, Username/Password, Athens or other means.

Will my EBSCO Online persistent (durable) URLs still work?
Yes. If you follow a link to EBSCO Online that points to a specific journal, issue or article, that URL will take you to the correct content on EJS. You can continue to use your existing EBSCO Online URLs as long as you like, or switch to the new EJS URLs at any time -- both URLs will continue to link you to the correct content.

Will my Alerts and Favorite journals still work?
Yes. The first time you login to EJS and create your "My EJS" personal profile, the site will migrate all your Alerts and Favorites from EBSCO Online.

I'm a librarian. Where's the Admin site?
The EJS Administrator site is now completely separate from the Reader site. The Admin site can be found at http://ejournals.ebsco.com/admin. Your EBSCO Online Admin login will continue to work on the EJS Admin site.
