EBSCO Partners with Innovative to Implement Electronic Check-In for Millennium Libraries

BIRMINGHAM, Alabama, U.S.A, October 20, 2005 - EBSCO Information Services has implemented an Electronic Packing Slip format designed for customers of EBSCO's JETS (Journal Expediting and Technical Services) who use the Innovative Millennium Serials E-Checkin software.

JETS provides fast, reliable delivery of non-domestic journals. Journals are collected at common sites and packed for shipping. This has proven to be more reliable than conventional mail in many locations, and journals processed through JETS often arrive days or weeks sooner than journals sent through normal publisher distribution channels.

The complimentary custom solution provides Millennium customers with their JETS packing list in XML format, enabling the library to upload journal check-in information electronically instead of manually. Files may be sent to the customer directly through E-Checkin.
