EBSCO Publishing and NISC Develop Strong Working Relationship
A Dozen NISC Databases to be Available via EBSCOhost ®

IPSWICH, Mass. —May 2, 2005 — National Information Services Corporation (NISC) and EBSCO Publishing (EBSCO) today announce an expanded database alliance. NISC produces high-end, niche research databases designed primarily for academic institutions. With EBSCO continuing to expand its database offerings to meet targeted research needs, a database partnership with NISC is a perfect blend of the strengths and objectives of the two companies. As a result, five NISC databases have recently been made available via EBSCOhost Ò , and an additional seven will be made available in the coming months.

NISC databases currently available via EBSCOhost include the following:

LIBROS EN VENTA en America Latina y Espana (LEV) - T he reference source of record and acquisition tool of choice for Spanish-language books-in-print since 1964.

Middle Eastern & Central Asian Studies (MECAS) - A systematic and non-evaluative bibliographic index of research, policy and scholarly discourse on the countries and peoples of the Middle East, Central Asia and North Africa.

Family & Society Studies Worldwide (FSSW) - A core resource providing the most comprehensive coverage of research, policy, and practice literature in the fields of Family Science, Human Ecology, Human Development, and Social Welfare.

Women’s Studies International - Covers the core disciplines in Women’s Studies to the latest scholarship in feminist research.

Gender Studies Database (GSD) - C overs the full spectrum of gender-engaged scholarship inside and outside academia with coverage spanning from 1872 and earlier to pr esent. GSD serves the area of diversity studies well with its emphasis on minorities. This database will be available via EBSCOhost by the end of May 2005.

Future databases to be available on EBSCOhost include: Arctic & Antarctic Regions; All India Index to English Books in Print; Child Development & Adolescent Studies; Historical Research Index ; Left Index ; Niles’ Register: Cumulative Index, 1811 - 1849 ; and Wildlife & Ecology Studies Worldwide .
