EBSCO Publishing is pleased to make two new H.W. Wilson Company databases available via EBSCOhost^®: Current Biography Illustrated and Book Review Digest.

Current Biography Illustrated offers the content of the printed monthly magazine, Current Biography, produced by the H.W. Wilson Company, in searchable, electronic format. This database offers up-to-date biographies written since 1940 . Students and patrons can search by name, profession, place of origin, gender, ethnicity, birth/death dates, titles of works and key words for more than 25,000 articles and obituaries. Current Biography Illustrated also features more than 19,500 images. In addition, this database offers the subject's own views, attitudes and commentary, as well as the commentaries of other journalists and colleagues. Users can find biographies on celebrities, politicians, actors, sports figures, writers and many others. More than 450 new records are added each year.

Book Review Digest is a reference database that provides review excerpts and book summaries for current English-language fiction and nonfiction books for all ages. Abstracting and indexing are included for more than 112,000 books, with more than 8,000 new records from 109 periodicals added each year. Full bibliographic information is available for every book covered in the database, and review abstracts contain bibliographic indexing for further reviews. Book Review Digest is searchable by title, author, keywords, subject heading, ISBN, call number and more. Abstracts include age/grade level of children's books and include the approximate number of words in the complete review.
