Innovative Interfaces and EBSCO Successfully Launch Automated E-journal Check-in Service BIRMINGHAM, Alabama, U.S.A. – May 15, 2007 – Innovative Interfaces and EBSCO Information Services are pleased to announce the successful release of a service that automatically performs check-in of online journals. The service, which utilizes the e-checkin server of Innovative’s Millennium ILS, leverages EBSCO’s e-resource knowledgebase to automatically update a customer’s library system whenever a new issue of a subscribed journal is made available online. EBSCO currently monitors content availability at publisher sites for more than 14,400 e-journals. "This initiative is part of an overall Innovative strategy of reducing the time and effort it takes to get e-journal information into Millennium," says Innovative's Senior Project Manager Ted Fons.
