EBSCO Announces New Staff Appointments
Phil Wallas Promoted to Senior Publisher Relations Executive Tom Dyer Named Publisher Relations Executive

BIRMINGHAM, Alabama, U.S.A., Sept. 26, 2006 - EBSCO is pleased to announce the promotion of Phil Wallas to senior publisher relations executive and the appointment of Tom Dyer to the position of publisher relations executive. In their new roles, Wallas and Dyer will provide liaison support to the major publishers with whom EBSCO works.

As a natural extension of its middleman role, EBSCO has introduced a series of services and tools to assist its publisher partners in streamlining the administrative work associated with the provision of electronic content. Leveraging EBSCO's position as the world's largest subscription agent, Wallas and Dyer will be responsible for coordinating these publisher relations and marketing programs. As the primary contacts for the publishing community, they will work to create and deliver custom solutions for publishers by working to simplify e-resource workflow.

Prior to his promotion, Wallas' 12-year career at EBSCO included posts as vice president of content licensing for EBSCO Publishing and director of e-journal licensing for EBSCO Information Services, where he coordinated with publishers to promote their services to consortia

Prior to joining EBSCO, Dyer worked as a regional account manager for Wolters Kluwer Health and was responsible for a $1.5 million-territory. During his time with Wolters Kluwer he expanded sales in six states. Dyer has 19 years of sales and marketing experience.
