Translation of Subject Classification Schemes Aids Searching for EBSCO A-to-Z® Users
BIRMINGHAM, Alabama, U.S.A., Sept. 8, 2006 - EBSCO is pleased to announce that customers of its EBSCO A-to-Z® (A-to-Z) online title listing service can now view A-to-Z subject classification schemes in their local language. All three A-to-Z subject classification schemes - general, medical and Library of Congress - will be offered in the interface language. This feature requires no administration on the part of the library. Once the default language has been selected (within the Admin site), it is immediately reflected on the Reader site. Native language subject headings appear automatically. "The translation of the A-to-Z classification schemes is just another example of how EBSCO is responding to the demands of our ever-growing, international customer base by helping our customers make A-to-Z a valuable tool for their patrons," said Oliver Pesch, EBSCO's chief strategist of e-resources.
