Tinker Printing and Envelope

Judy Tinker founded Tinker Printing and Envelope in 1986 from the basement of her home. She worked as a broker, selling custom continuous forms to large corporate clients such as banks, insurance companies and utility companies.

In 1994, Tinker expanded from its 2,300-square-foot facility, leasing a second facility. One year later, manufacturing operations were consolidated in the 9,300 square-foot facility that Tinker Printing and Envelope still occupies today near Birmingham, Alabama.

EBSCO acquired Tinker Printing and Envelope in 1999. Today, with 21 employees, Tinker is marketed as a one-stop print shop, supplying many corporate customers with quick-print, stationery, business cards, envelopes and brochures as well as hard-to-find items, including door hangers, tags and signs. Tinker Printing and Envelope has an in-house graphics department, traditional printing equipment with a full service bindery department and a custom software system for order entry, inventory tracking and invoicing.
