Valley Joist

Valley Joist is a fabricator and supplier of steel joists, girders and metal deck for the construction industry. Valley Joist’s 100-percent-inspected joists and girders, along with its adjacent metal deck plant, offer customers one-stop shopping and fast service in the extremely competitive steel products industry.

Valley Joist offers full customer service, beginning with a computerized detailing department. Complete Auto CAD/laser jet placement drawings are produced for each customer’s building. Valley’s fleet of trailers and modern tractors delivers products the morning construction begins.

Valley Joist is strategically located with plants employing 175 people each in Fort Payne, Alabama, (providing service to most areas east of the Mississippi River) and a facility in Fernley, Nevada, positioned between the Pacific Northwest and Southwest.

Quick-service sales offices are located in eight major U.S. cities, from Seattle to Miami, as well as Fort Payne and Fernley. Production at Valley Joist is fast-paced. Employees work efficiently to keep prices competitive and are asked to contribute ideas and hard work.

Because the majority of construction work is contracted out on a bid basis, Valley Joist’s strategy to gain a competitive edge is to build relationships with customers through good people, great services and excellent quality.
