Sid McNeal named vice president of Publisher Affairs

In an effort to bring more organizational structure and focus to the publisher-facing side of EBSCO Information Services (EIS), Sid McNeal has been named vice president of Publisher Affairs, replacing the position of director of Publisher Services/Publisher Relations. McNeal will continue in the role of vice president and general manager of EBSCO International (EI), one he has had since 1990.

EBSCO’s EMpact division, which is responsible for specialized selling on behalf of publishers who desire an enhanced sales footprint in various markets and geographic regions, has also been under McNeal’s purview. This will continue, and as a result of this realignment, EMpact as well as EIS’ other publisher-facing departments Publisher Services, Title Information Department and STM Publisher Relations will be all be consolidated under singular management. “The global publishing community comprises EIS’s supplier network, so maintaining excellent relations with these companies, societies and presses is paramount to our continuing success in the future. I am excited to be more deeply connected to this critical aspect of our business,” said McNeal.
