EBSCO has compiled tips that are easy for you to send to your patrons and students to remind them of the wealth of resources available to them through their library. Follow us on Facebook and Twitter at #librarytips for timely tweets to share with your patrons.

We’re so inspired by how so many librarians are using social media to connect with patrons and “meet them where they are” so to speak. We want to help! We’ve compiled tips that are easy for you to share with your patrons that are quick, seasonal, database-specific, and written for a wide range of ages and interests, for example:

  1. Looking for great recipes? Check out Explora™ for ideas to cook with kids, cooking through cancer, cooking organic on a budget & more.
  2. Find out more about Alabama native and “Hidden Figures” actress Octavia Spencer. Find current articles about her in MasterFILE™ Premier.
  3. Under the weather? The flu & the common cold have similar symptoms. See the Health Highlight section of Consumer Health Complete™ & be sure.
  4. It takes 50 hours to complete one level of a language with the Rosetta Stone® Library Solution. Invest some time in a new language.
  5. Science Fair coming up? See the Science Reference Center™ Reference Shelf for inspiration.
