Abstract

The article focuses on the research conducted by a tropical ecologist on the role of mouse lemurs in seed dispersal within human-modified landscapes, particularly in Madagascar's Ranomafana National Park. The study investigates how these small primates, specifically the brown mouse lemur (Microcebus rufus), contribute to forest regeneration by dispersing seeds of various plant species, especially in the context of environmental disturbances such as cyclones. The research involves tracking the movement of mouse lemurs using radio collars to understand their foraging behavior and the impact of habitat changes on their population dynamics.
