Abstract
Wheat futures in Paris are holding steady near a one-week high due to indications of tight supplies in the European Union. France's soft-wheat exports outside the EU are projected to decrease by 60% in the 2024-25 season, which will negatively impact the national wheat sector and cereal exports to third countries. This decline in French exports, along with a poor harvest in Germany, has contributed to the lowest EU soft-wheat production in six years. Despite the challenges in Europe, global wheat supplies are expected to be sufficient due to bumper crops in the US. [Extracted from the article]
