Abstract
This study examines farmers' perceptions of the benefits of organic farming in Haryana, India, focusing on health, environmental, and economic advantages. Data from 250 organic farmers reveal strong agreement that organic farming reduces environmental pollution, increases soil fertility and biodiversity, offers health benefits through pesticide-free products, and can provide premium market prices and lower production costs after conversion. Certified and educated farmers showed higher awareness of these benefits, while experience had no significant effect on perceptions. The study suggests that promoting certification and education among farmers could enhance organic farming adoption, which is viewed as beneficial for sustainable agriculture, public health, and rural livelihoods.
