Abstract

The article focuses on the upcoming solo art show of Thomas “Breeze” Marcus, an artist of Akimel and Tohono O’odham heritage, at Blue Rain Gallery in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Breeze's work prominently features the coyote, a significant figure in his culture, symbolizing wisdom and guidance, and he aims to bring depth to its representation in his art. The exhibition, which opens on February 13, will showcase his signature graffiti-style linework and vibrant colors, including a unique shade he refers to as Breeze Blue. In addition to coyote-themed pieces, the show will also include mixed media works created on vinyl records, running through February 26. [Extracted from the article]
