Abstract

Since many marine mammal species and populations are declining, it is important to bring attention and awareness to the importance of marine mammal research, species conservation, and environmental protection. One way to do this is to write a book about marine mammals with the goal to educate and entice young people to get involved in the advancement of marine mammal science. Marine mammals are a diverse group of aquatic animals that depend on ocean ecosystems for their survival. [Extracted from the article]
