Abstract
Rhodiola rosea, also known as golden root or roseroot, is a succulent plant that grows in mountainous regions with severe winters. It has a long history of use as a medicinal herb, with records dating back to ancient times. Rhodiola rosea is rich in phenolic compounds and vitamin C, which have healing and protective properties for both humans and animals. Modern research has discovered that it is an adaptogen, increasing resistance to stress and improving physical and mental performance. It is also a source of antioxidants and has potential benefits for pain relief, headache, and memory loss. Rhodiola rosea can be grown in various regions, including the United States, and its seeds are readily available online. However, it is not well-known in the Western world due to most scientific papers being published in Slavic or Scandinavian languages. [Extracted from the article]
