Abstract

The article focuses on early Christian kingdom of Aksum was at the heart of a great maritime trading network an tombs of kings and high-ranking officials. It mentions Aksumites' transcontinental trade routes stretched from Iberia to India, and perhaps even as far as China. It also mentions stelas, obelisks, tombs, and ruins of major buildings, including administrative complexes and palaces and cultural hub of the Ethiopian highlands.
