Abstract

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, part of the Interior Department, is accepting applications for the Clean Vessel Act (CVA) grant. The purpose of the grant is to support efforts to improve recreational boating opportunities and provide clean facilities for waste disposal to prevent pollution in public waterways and ecosystems. The deadline for applications is November 25, 2024, and a total of $15 million is available for up to 34 awards, ranging from $30,000 to $1.5 million. Only state governments are eligible to apply. The funding will be used for the construction, renovation, operation, and maintenance of pump-out stations and waste reception facilities, as well as to educate boaters about their use and benefits.
