Abstract

The article reports on two recent events focused on environmental and cultural research in Australia and New Zealand. The first event was a workshop for the INQUA network "Warm Intervals in the Southern Hemisphere (WiSH)" held at the University of Canterbury Cass Field Station, where researchers from New Zealand and Australia collaborated to identify knowledge gaps and share data on past interglacial periods, glacial changes, and human-climate interactions. The second event, "The Meeting of the Dreaming," took place at Lake Mungo and Mildura, involving Traditional Owner groups and other participants who engaged in cultural ceremonies, presentations on the significance of Lake Mungo, and discussions on Indigenous perspectives and the geological history of the area. Both gatherings emphasized interdisciplinary dialogue and the integration of scientific and Indigenous knowledge.
