Abstract
The article presents recent archaeological and historical discoveries from various global sites, highlighting advances in understanding ancient cultures and technologies. Key findings include evidence of Paleo-Inuit seafaring in Greenland 4,500 years ago, the use of artificial intelligence to decode an ancient Roman game in the Netherlands, and the identification of Manhattan’s oldest known Underground Railroad stop beneath the Merchant’s House Museum. Additional research reveals ancient Maya trade of live dogs in Mexico, early use of poison-tipped arrows in South Africa, and the reanalysis of a Paleolithic burial in Italy indicating death by bear attack. Other notable discoveries include the confirmed location of Alexander the Great’s Mesopotamian port in Iraq, Iron Age tooth blackening in Vietnam, an ancient Egyptian bow drill dating back over 5,000 years, and the earliest shipwreck found in Singaporean waters containing rare Yuan Dynasty ceramics.
