Abstract

The Ajanta Caves in India are a collection of 31 man-made caves that date back to between 90 and 75 BCE. These caves contain significant Buddhist monuments and are adorned with beautiful murals. Over time, the quality of the murals has deteriorated, but art historian and photographer Benoy K Behl has digitally restored the paintings to showcase their true beauty. The restored photographs are now featured in the updated paperback version of The Ajanta Caves. [Extracted from the article]
