Abstract
This article presents a collection of artifacts from the Safety Harbor Site in Pinellas County, Florida. The site is known for its large temple mound, believed to have been built by the Tocobaga Native People before Spanish contact. The collection includes various pottery sherds, lithic artifacts, and smoking pipes that date back to different periods, including the Weeden Island period, pre-contact Safety Harbor period, post-contact Safety Harbor period, and the Bayview phase. The artifacts provide evidence of Indigenous presence and contact with North Florida during the mission period. The collection is important for understanding the Indigenous culture and history of the site. [Extracted from the article]
