Abstract
The article reports on a rare violent incident at the ancient ruins of Teotihuacán in Mexico, where a Canadian tourist was killed and four others were wounded by gunfire. According to the State of Mexico's security ministry, a lone shooter fired from atop a major pyramid before taking his own life, and two additional visitors were injured from falls. Teotihuacán, located north of Mexico City, is the country's second-most visited ancient site, with over 1.6 million visitors last year. Mexico City’s President Claudia Sheinbaum expressed condolences and announced an investigation into the shooting. [Extracted from the article]
