High Plains Mammoth Hunters.

Abstract

The article informs that according to a survey by University of Wyoming archaeologist George Frison uncovered butchered remains of the La Prele mammoth in Clovis, New Mexico. It mentions that test excavations revealed more bones belonging to the mammoth and, a small assemblage of artifacts including chert flakes, a by-product of stone tool making, and a single stone biface, a sharpened tool used for cutting.
