Abstract

The article focuses on the pervasive role of rituals in various archaeological discoveries, showcasing instances such as the rituals at the Parthenon in Athens, the supernatural beings associated with ceramics at the holy site of Tiwanaku in Bolivia, and rituals related to death in the Roman world. The stories also explore the Recuay people's political rituals in first-millennium a.d. Peru, as well as the sacred importance of Turkey's Neolithic Taş Tepeler landscape.
