Abstract

The article provides a preview of developments in France in preparation for the 2024 Olympic games in Paris while pursing a goal to reduce carbon emissions. These include a pop-up outdoor arena in front of the Eiffel Tower which will host beach volleyball, making the Seine river safe and clean for marathon swimming and triathlon, the Place de la Concorde public square to debut breakdancing, and restoration of the Notre-Dame de Paris church.
