Abstract

The construction, inauguration, and restoration of Hindu temples around the world demonstrate India's efforts to deepen its ties with its diaspora and the global Hindu community. Hindu migration, both historically and in recent times, has led to the establishment of numerous temples in countries where Hindus have settled. There are approximately two million Hindu temples worldwide, including notable ones such as Angkor Wat in Cambodia, Prambanan temple in Indonesia, Pashupatinath Temple in Nepal, and Shiva Vishnu Temple in Australia. These temples serve as important cultural and spiritual centers for Hindus living abroad, helping them stay connected to their heritage. The demand for temples in foreign countries is growing, as they not only provide places of worship but also showcase Indian architecture and art, contributing to tourism and bilateral relations.
