Abstract
The Zebun Nessa Mosque in Ashulia, Bangladesh, is a unique and modernist structure designed to provide a peaceful sanctuary for the area's garment workers. Named after the owner's late mother, the mosque includes spaces specifically designed for women to enter, gather, and pray, a feature often overlooked in mosques in the region. The pink cement facade, sculptural staircase, and translucent glass mihrab all contribute to the mosque's striking design, while the various nooks and spaces allow visitors to find peace throughout the day. Designed by Studio Morphogenesis, the mosque aims to be a place that belongs to all garment workers, emphasizing inclusivity and community ownership. [Extracted from the article]
