Abstract

The article "Peru's Timeless Threads" explores how the Moche culture in Peru's northern coastal valleys preserved their identity through textiles despite external influences. Archaeologists studied textiles excavated at Huaca del Sol, revealing a blend of Moche and Wari techniques and motifs dating from a.d. 893 to a.d. 989. The findings suggest that the Moche culture remained resilient and adaptable, incorporating foreign influences while maintaining core traditions, reflecting a dynamic cultural evolution over time.
