Abstract
This article examines how the Justseeds Artists' Cooperative employed digital art as a form of coalitional care activism during the COVID-19 pandemic through a series of five digital "care package" portfolios circulated primarily via social media. These portfolios addressed themes including mutual aid, housing justice, abolition, environmental health, and essential labor, situating their work within frameworks such as adrienne maree brown's emergent strategy, Gloria Anzaldúa's concept of nepantla, and feminist geographies of care. The study analyzes how Justseeds' artivism creates digital geographies of care that humanize marginalized labor, resist carceral systems, and promote collective healing and transformative justice. By mapping these situated acts of care, the article highlights Justseeds' model for expanding the boundaries of care through decentralized, coalition-based visual activism that fosters interdependence and solidarity across social and ecological struggles.
