Abstract

The book *How Does Disability Performance Travel? Access, Art, and Internationalization* (2024), edited by Christiane Czymoch, Kate Maguire-Rosier, and Yvonne Schmidt, examines the complexities of how disability performance circulates globally within varied national, state, and local contexts. Originating from discussions within the Performance and Disability working group of the International Federation for Theater Research (IFTR), the volume addresses challenges faced by artists and researchers with disabilities in accessing international conferences and performances, especially amid travel and virtual participation barriers. Organized into four parts, the book explores political, cultural, spatial, and localized dimensions of disability performance travel, contributing significant insights to disability and performance studies through diverse global perspectives.
