Abstract

The article discusses the Byzantine-Early Modern fine ware that were discovered at the archaeological sites on the Molyvoti peninsula under the Molyvoti, Thrace, Archaeological Project (MTAP). Also cited are the discovery of well-preserved fine sgraffito and 12th-century painted glazed pieces and the decorations of the sgraffito wares like various delicate motifs including spirals, rinceaux, interlaces and other curvilinear designs.
