Abstract
The article focuses on the impact of strikes by Writers Guild of America, WGA and Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists, SAG-AFTRA at San Diego Comic-Con disrupted big media panels but allowed comic publishers and cartoonists to shine, leading to higher comic book sales and record attendance at comic-related panels. With the focus back on comics, publishers benefited from increased customer traffic and engagement at the event.
