Abstract

This article focuses on Atlas9, an immersive art experience in Kansas City created by Dimensional Innovations (DI), a company known for designing experiential environments for major entertainment clients. Set inside a fictional 1990s cinema, Atlas9 features a 46,000-square-foot facility with 30 themed rooms, interactive art installations, live performers, and an RFID-powered gamification system that personalizes visitor engagement. The narrative centers on a projection malfunction that brings forgotten film scenes to life, inviting visitors to become agents investigating the mystery through a dynamic, story-driven environment. The project involved collaboration with local and national artists and aims to position Kansas City as a significant hub in the immersive entertainment industry. [Extracted from the article]
