Abstract

This article focuses on Lena Noble, an emerging professional artist known for her realistic oil, charcoal, and graphite portraits of farm animals such as horses, goats, and cows. Drawing inspiration from the Old Masters and employing chiaroscuro techniques, Noble emphasizes light and shadow to convey emotion and form without excessive detail. Since beginning her career about seven years ago, she has gained national recognition, including participation in the Coors Western Art's Young Guns Art Show and inclusion in The Russell auction benefiting the C.M. Russell Museum. Her work highlights animals as central subjects with simple, supportive backgrounds, reflecting her lifelong passion for the visual arts. [Extracted from the article]
