Abstract

Although the CD11c SP - sp CD163 SP + sp cells most probably correspond to M2 polarized anti-inflammatory macrophages,[[4]] the exact immunological nature of the unique cell subpopulation of "double" CD11c SP + sp CD163 SP + sp positive cells, found particularly in SD, remains elusive. Evidence for differing roles of CD11c+CD163+ and CD11c-CD163+ cells in intracellular pigment storing in tattoos and stasis dermatitis The ORs to carry pigment of CD163 SP + sp cells (with and without CD11c co-expression) were significantly higher than OR = 1 ( I p i < 0.01), indicating to cells with a comparatively high dye storage capacity.
