Abstract
The article reviews a debut monograph titled *Spirituality, Feminism, and Pre-Raphaelitism in Modern British Art and Culture*, which focuses on the lesser-known third generation of the Pre-Raphaelite movement, specifically three artists: Thomas Cooper Gotch, Robert Anning Bell, and Frederick Cayley Robinson. The author, Alice Eden, aims to reassess these artists through the lens of female spirituality, linking their work to contemporary feminist and spiritualist movements. While the book offers valuable insights into the intersection of these themes, it is critiqued for its lengthy and sometimes unfocused introduction, as well as for lacking a thorough analysis of the Pre-Raphaelite influence on the artists' works. Overall, the book is noted for its depth of research but is suggested to be complemented by other works for a more comprehensive understanding of the later Pre-Raphaelite revival.
