Abstract

As is true of any acting technique, tactics won't work if they're the only thing you're thinking about during your performance. The Green Room Backstage Guide ACTORS CAN FIND SUBTEXT and add depth to their performances by utilizing "tactics", a technique derived from the teachings of influential theater practitioner Konstantin Stanislavsky that refers to how a character goes about achieving their objective. "All of these devices - action-ing, tactics, etc. - in acting training are meant to be pre-planted before the actor starts acting", says performance coach Joseph Pearlman.
