Abstract
The National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) is accepting applications for the Public Impact Projects (PIP) at Smaller Organizations. This initiative aims to enhance the capacity of small- and mid-sized museums and cultural organizations to develop public humanities programming. The deadline for applications is June 12, 2024, and a total of $750,000 will be awarded, with each recipient eligible for up to $25,000. Eligible applicants include colleges and universities, nonprofit organizations, and various levels of government. Successful projects should demonstrate the relevance of the humanities to audiences and communities, with a focus on strong public humanities interpretation. The topics covered are diverse and encompass fields such as history, art history, ethnomusicology, archaeology, anthropology, literature, philosophy, and other areas that critically examine human history and culture.
