Abstract

The article focuses on Süleyman the Magnificent was portrayed as the Shadow of God on Earth, the Caliph of Islam, the Last World Emperor, the distributor of crowns to other rulers and the purveyor of justice. It mentions longest reigning Ottoman sultan, during his lifetime Süleyman was hailed as a skilled military commander, a just ruler and a divinely anointed monarch. It also mentions Süleyman as a tyrant whose conquests dealt mortal blows to Christianity.
