Abstract

The author presents a response to Sara Minogue's article "Margaret Atwood, #BelieveWomen, and the Limits of Literary Criticism" written as a rebuttal to her 2022 essay on novelist Margaret Atwood and sexual assault. Topics include corrections of factual inaccuracies in Minogue's article, the role of political critique in literary criticism, and Atwood's public statements regarding feminism, sexual assault and trans-exclusionary radical feminism.
