Abstract

The article responds to a note on Lord Byron's visits to William Herschel and his sister Caroline Herschel in Slough, England. It raises legitimate doubts regarding the identity of Mr. and Mrs. Gordon mentioned in the visitor book housed at the National Maritime Museum in Greenwich, London, England from 1811. It confirms a second entry in the visitor book regarding the visit of Lady Oxford with her daughters accompanied by Lord Byron to the Herschels on June 10, 1813.
