Abstract
The article focuses on Aleksandr Sokurov's documentary series *The Dialogues with Solzhenitsyn*, which captures conversations between the Russian filmmaker and Nobel Prize-winning author Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn after his return from a 20-year exile. The film explores Solzhenitsyn's experiences in the Gulag, exile, and return to Russia, as well as philosophical and literary discussions between the two men. Notably, the documentary includes rare footage of Solzhenitsyn writing, offering an intimate glimpse into his creative process. The work serves as a profound moral inquiry and humanistic reflection on ethics, shaped by both men's complex relationships with their homeland.
