Abstract

CAR and Russia have intensified cooperation on defence, with Russia providing military equipment and the B Wagner Group b supporting its army fight several armed rebel groups across the country. President Ramaphosa announced on May 16th that Russian President B Vladimir Putin b and Ukrainian President B Volodymyr Zelensky b have "agreed to receive" African heads of state in Moscow and Kyiv. President Xi said China is "a reliable friend of Eritrea" and President Isaias thanked China for "support extended to the struggle of the Eritrean people for independence".
