Abstract
The article focuses on a study conducted by researchers at Harbin Normal University in China, which examines the cognitive diagnosis (CD) of scientific argumentation ability. The study developed a hierarchical model of six cognitive attributes using the Toulmin Argument Model and SOLO Taxonomy theory, validated through a 33-item diagnostic test administered to 240 tenth-grade students. The research identified the DINA model as the optimal framework for diagnosing students' scientific argumentation skills, providing a foundation for targeted instructional interventions. The findings aim to enhance the assessment and improvement of scientific argumentation competency among students. [Extracted from the article]
