Abstract

The article discusses the ambitious nature of model, advocate and Black Girls Coalition co-founder Bethann Hardison and philosopher and social activist Cornel West. Topics discussed include the role of Hardison in reshaping American beauty on runways, television and magazines, her view about ambition which is actually planning to actually do something, and West's plan to run as an independent candidate in the 2024 U.S. presidential election to end poverty, protect workers and tax billionaires.
