Abstract
The article focuses on organizational transformation and why most corporate change initiatives fail to achieve lasting impact despite widespread efforts. Research shows only 12% of major transformation programs produce enduring results, with many leaders settling for incremental improvements rather than true transformation. Successful companies adopt six critical practices: treating transformation as a continuous process, embedding it into daily operations, explicitly managing organizational energy, setting aspirational goals rather than just targets, driving change from midlevel management ("middle out"), and securing substantial external capital from the outset. Case studies of companies like Dell Technologies, Ford, Virgin Australia, Adobe, Amgen, and T-Mobile illustrate how these practices contribute to sustained and significant business transformations.
